“The work draws the viewer into it’s inner world, subtlely regulating the changes of the mood, reflecting elusiveness of the past and subjectivity of memory” – Hanna Raszewska
A second, extended and reflective review of Archipelago has been published by the main Polish dance portal taniecpolska.pl .
Hanna Raszewska writes:
“The work draws the viewer into it’s inner world, subtlely regulating the changes of the mood, reflecting elusiveness of the past and subjectivity of memory”
“The dancers excellently present themself both as movers – their bodies are precise and conscious – as well as actors; individual characters and their moods are created in a suggestive manner”
Archipelago is ambiguous and open to many interpretations. It is accompanied by an atmosphere of understatement from the beginning to the end. The audience can contemplate the melancholy and peculiar timelessness in which the performance is immersed, or try to reconstruct the fate of individual characters, never being sure about the correctness of their assumptions.
